The Arts are important for so many reasons.  In a very competitive world, those who get noticed are those who are innovators, creative thinkers, people who can collaborate well in the workplace. With the fast paced world we live in, people need to be able to decompress, and find healthy ways of expressing themselves. Not only do the arts make us perform better in the workplace, but they also give us a way to make the most of our down time, a way to recharge our batteries and therefore giving us a much better sense of emotional/mental well-being. Arts also encourage understanding of cultures, and an appreciation of our  differences. It creates a sense of community, and gives us an advantage in our careers. This is just some of the many reasons for encouraging our children and community members to get involved in the arts.
